Job Description:

This cardiac telemetry nursing assignment places you on the forefront of critical heart care in a busy, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for monitoring stable post-interventional patients, managing cardiac drips like Amiodarone and Cardizem, and responding to various cardiac emergencies, including unstable angina and arrhythmias. The shift is scheduled from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM on a 12-hour night schedule, offering an intense but rewarding experience. The role emphasizes self-scheduling within the unit's guidelines, ensuring flexibility while maintaining high standards of care. You'll coordinate with a team lead to handle admissions and discharges, with a possibility of caring for COVID-positive patients on high-flow oxygen, BIPAP, or opti-flow. This assignment encourages confident, quick thinkers who thrive in high acuity settings and are prepared for rapid patient turnover.
