Job Description:

Join a high-volume Labor and Delivery unit in Anchorage, Alaska, as a Registered Nurse specializing in obstetrics. This 13-week contract offers the chance to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM), providing an immersive experience in a Level II trauma hospital recognized as a US News & World Report Best Hospital in Alaska. The role involves caring for a mix of high-risk antepartum, triage, and delivery patients, with an average of 7 daily deliveries and up to 14 during busy times. You will support both routine deliveries and complex cases, with opportunities to float within scope to meet facility demands. A fast-paced environment, this assignment requires at least two years of experience, current certifications (BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP), and active Alaska RN licensure (license application must be submitted within 48 hours of signing). The position guarantees 60 hours biweekly, with the flexibility to be called off for one shift every two weeks. Local candidates must reside at least 50 miles away. This is an opportunity to work within a welcoming team committed to high-quality obstetrical care, with schedule flexibility primarily for night shifts and a guaranteed weekly commitment of 36 hours.
