Job Description:

Join our team as a neuro rehab nurse in Phoenix, Arizona, for a 13-week travel contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role offers the opportunity to work with a specialized neuro population, including patients recovering from brain surgeries, strokes, and transplants. You'll handle tasks like Foley catheter insertions, central line dressing changes, and participate in simulations for sterile procedures. The assignment emphasizes high-level communication with patients and families, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration. Travel nurses will need to have strong MedSurg experience, BLS certification, and be comfortable with high patient acuity. A knack for sterile procedures and the ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam are essential. Expect to work on busy units with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, with support from a SWAT IV team and 24/7 pharmacy services. The unit features a low stimulation environment focused on neuro recovery, with daily physician rounds and therapy sessions. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nurse to gain exposure to complex neuro cases within a supportive hospital setting.
