Job Description:

Join Aspirus Wausau as a registered nurse in the busy Post Surgical Care Unit, where you'll be at the heart of high-paced recoveries for pre- and post-surgical adult and geriatric patients. This 13-week contract offers 12-hour night shifts (7p-7a), providing a rhythm that allows for focused, uninterrupted patient care during your shift. You'll navigate a 40-bed inpatient unit, managing up to 15 new admissions daily, all while coordinating care that spans from immediate post-op recovery to managing patients with varying levels of acuity. The role demands flexibility, multitasking, and a collaborative spirit, with an emphasis on quick thinking and prioritization of patient needs. Epic EMR experience and trauma level II background are essential, along with at least two years of recent hospital Med Surg experience. This assignment is your chance to immerse yourself in a fast-paced environment with a team that values efficiency and teamwork.
