Job Description:

This travel contract in Wausau, WI offers a chance to work as a Cardiac Telemetry/Step Down RN in a fast-paced 44-bed unit specializing in intermediate cardiac care. You will be providing specialized nursing support for post-op cardiac patients, including those recovering from CABG, valve surgeries, and ablations, often managing complex arrhythmias and hemodynamic monitoring. The role involves 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a focus on managing a patient load of approximately 1:4, and includes float responsibilities across all inpatient units. You'll gain valuable experience in a high patient turnover environment while utilizing your strong cardiac skills in procedures like EKG interpretation, medication drips, and post-procedure care. The assignment highlights independent work with opportunities to demonstrate resilience and adaptability in a dynamic setting, all while contributing to patient recovery in a pivotal role.
