Job Description:

This infusion nursing position takes place within an outpatient oncology unit located inside Advocate Trinity Hospital in Chicago. The role involves administering chemotherapy, blood, and platelet infusions, managing long-term IV antibiotics, injections, and responding to adverse reactions with great assessment skills. The nurse will draw blood from ports for lab work and handle peripheral IV, Port-a-Cath, and PICC line access. The setting offers a chance to work predominantly with adult oncology patients in a specialized unit that features a shared support team, including a clinic lead and on-site oncologist. The shift runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with some stay extensions for finishing infusions, and a weekly commitment of 40 hours over 13 weeks. Experience with chemo administration and certification in ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy are required.
