Job Description:

Join a specialized ICU team on a 13-week travel contract in Aurora, Colorado. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts on the 3rd floor ICU unit, where you'll care for a diverse patient population including medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery cases. You’ll be supporting critically ill patients who are post-operative open-heart surgery or on advanced support like ECMO, Impella, and CRRT. The unit operates with a staff of 125 professionals, managing patient ratios typically ranging from 1:1 to 2:1 depending on patient acuity. You will be utilizing equipment such as Stryker beds, GE monitors, and Maquet ECMO systems, with Meditech EMR for charting. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to a high-acuity environment within a well-staffed unit known for warm, collaborative nurses.
