Job Description:

Join a dynamic MedSurg unit in Hastings, NE, for a 13-week travel contract where you'll be a vital part of patient care in a bustling community hospital. This role involves working 12-hour days, providing care for patients with a range of conditions including dementia, post-surgical recovery, influenza, pneumonia, and COVID-19. Experience with chest tubes, pain management, TPN, and wounds is preferred, and charge nurse responsibilities may be part of your duties if you have the right background. Expect to work alongside nurse aides and monitor techs, managing patient loads with ratios typically between 1:4 and 1:6. The unit is equipped with RTs for CPAP management, and you'll be working in a fast-paced environment where flexibility is appreciated and training is provided to orient you to the department. Your weekly commitment will be around 36 hours, with scheduling accommodations to support your travel experience.
