This 13-week travel assignment offers a unique opportunity to work as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse in a bustling hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina. The role involves providing specialized care in a COVID and isolation unit, with a focus on adult patients diagnosed with conditions such as dementia, pneumonia, COPD, sepsis, GI bleed, and hip fractures. The nightly 12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15) require keen attention to detail, including remote telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV protocols, and managing various drains and respiratory equipment. This is a chance to experience a fast-paced environment where your skills in wound care, IV insertions, and medication management are essential. Travelers will interact with advanced systems like Epic and Pyxis, and will be expected to work on the Storm and Hurricane Teams if necessary.
