Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week contract in Charleston, SC. This role places you in a lively perioperative setting focused on specialty procedures like orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, GYN, GU, endocrine, surgical oncology, plastics, robotics, and total joints. Your days will be filled with preparing patients for surgery, from reviewing their histories and establishing IV lines to ensuring they are ready for their procedures. Post-operation, you'll monitor patients during recovery, manage vital signs, assist with discharge procedures, and coordinate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff. The schedule involves four 10-hour daytime shifts weekly, typically from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with some scheduled late days and potential on-call requirements. Floating within scope to other perioperative units may occur based on departmental needs. Certifications required include a valid SC or Compact License, BLS, and a radiation badge provided by your employer. Minimum one year of relevant experience in orthopedic, ENT, GYN, or similar specialties is expected. Local candidates within a 60-mile radius are preferred, and all time off requests must be approved at the start of the assignment.
