Job Description:

This respiratory therapy contract offers an engaging opportunity in a bustling level 2 trauma center in Columbus, Georgia. You'll take on a 12-hour day shift, working with a diverse patient population from infants to geriatrics, primarily focusing on adult RT functions but also assisting with pediatric intubated patients. Expect to perform procedures such as non-invasive and conventional ventilation, arterial line management, arterial blood gases, aerosol therapy, and bedside pulmonary testing. Your role will involve managing complex respiratory cases within a multidisciplinary team in a facility that is interventional stroke certified and operates a level 3 NICU, which serves as a regional transport hub. This assignment is perfect for RTs ready to work in a fast-paced environment, managing a variety of respiratory therapies in both ICU and NICU settings, with opportunities to float within the hospital and across facilities as needed. The position emphasizes hands-on respiratory management rather than patient care, giving you a chance to refine your technical skills while working in a supportive clinical environment.
