Job Description:

This Oncology Registered Nurse role offers an engaging opportunity to work in a specialized unit focused on hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients. The 7-bed positive pressure wing often involves bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies. Travelers will operate primarily during 12-hour day shifts, providing direct patient care in a focused environment. You may also be asked to join Emergency Teams during acute events—an aspect that adds a layer of unpredictability and teamwork to the assignment. This position is perfect for nurses comfortable with a fast-paced setting and an Ochsner Health team that welcomes first-time travelers. The weekly hours are approximately 36, with a total duration of 13 weeks.
