Job Description:

Join a busy ICU unit on a 12-hour night shift in Grafton, WI, for a 13-week travel healthcare contract. This role suits experienced ICU professionals with at least three years of recent ICU experience. The position involves managing ventilated patients, invasive lines like arterial lines and CVPs, chest tubes, and post-surgical recoveries in a level III trauma center with a 17-bed ICU. You will work alongside multidisciplinary staff, including respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists, providing critical care in a fast-paced environment. The unit is accustomed to floating within scope, mainly to intermediate units and observation areas. Previous experience with EPIC EMR, CVVH, CRRT, and cardiovascular procedures such as IABPs or Impellas is preferred but not mandatory. The role includes a requirement for certifications like BLS and ACLS, with NIHSS being a plus. The schedule features 36 hours per week, with shifts typically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including holiday coverage and occasional weekend rotations. More than two sick calls may lead to contract reevaluation.
