Job Description:

This travel assignment places you in a telemetry/med-surg unit in Fort Madison, Iowa, offering a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills in cardiac monitoring and patient assessment. You will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance, with a testing requirement in the first week to ensure readiness for the role. Your day-to-day tasks include delivering high-quality nursing care through assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, all while working closely with the healthcare team. Familiarity with Epic and current ACLS and NIH certifications are required. While the assignment does not include a regular call rotation, occasional on-call shifts may be assigned, with a one-hour response time expected. The shift consists of 12-hour days, providing extended periods to connect with patients and colleagues alike. This opportunity allows you to be part of a dedicated team providing care to geriatric, adult, and medical/surgical patients, all within a supportive clinical environment.
