Job Description:

Join us for a rewarding 13-week travel contract as a Labor & Delivery Nurse in Auburn, Washington. This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses who thrive in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoy being at the heart of childbirth. You'll be responsible for cervical exams, antepartum care, labors, amnio infusions, epidurals, fetal monitoring, IV management, Pitocin administration, and circulating C-sections. Your skills will also be crucial in baby catching and receiving, APGAR assessments, and supporting breastfeeding practices. The hospital has a dedicated Scrub Tech on-site, with scrub-trained RNs occasionally stepping in during sick calls. The setting includes 12 L&D beds, 8 postpartum/antenatal beds, and a 6-bed Level II NICU, with a strong emphasis on providing comprehensive postpartum care from transition to discharge for mothers and infants. This role offers a manageable shift schedule of nights, making it a unique experience for those who excel under night shift conditions.
