Job Description:
Join our team as a registered nurse in a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit, where your expertise in high-acuity progressive care will make a real difference. This 16-week contract offers a unique opportunity to work on a dedicated Oncology PCU, caring for patients with solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic cancers. The shift is overnight, 12 hours, providing a steady rhythm to your nights. You'll navigate a variety of complex procedures—from administering chemo and managing drains to interpreting ABGs and monitoring cardiac drips—all while supporting patients through their treatment journey in a setting that emphasizes infection control and patient safety. This role is perfect for nurses with at least 2 years of acute care experience and a solid background in PCU settings, ready to take on diverse responsibilities that challenge and grow your skills.
Weather:
Around this time of year, the weather is typically mild with a pleasant blend of sunshine and occasional cool breezes. It's an ideal climate for exploring outdoor city parks or enjoying a walk along scenic paths. Summer evenings often bring just enough warmth to unwind outside.
Fun Things To Do:
- City Tour and River Walk: Take in the local sights along the scenic riverfront.
- Visit the Columbus Museum of Art: Discover vibrant exhibits and creative displays.
- Zane Trace Nature Preserve: Enjoy a peaceful day of hiking and bird watching.
- Day trip to Hocking Hills State Park: Explore stunning waterfalls and caves just a short drive away.
- Historic Franklin Park Conservatory: Wander through lush gardens and exotic plant collections.
Job Specifics:
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
