Job Description:

Join a busy emergency department in Newark, Delaware, offering a fast-paced environment where you'll be handling a wide variety of urgent cases during 12-hour night shifts. This role provides an excellent opportunity to utilize your recent Epic experience and your two years of specialty practice, focusing purely on emergency nursing. You'll work in a 21 to 30-bed unit, supporting patients of all ages—from infants to geriatrics—in a setting that values efficiency and teamwork without the need for block scheduling. Expect to engage in moderate sedation, stroke and heart codes, trauma, and cardiac arrest responses, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4. The role emphasizes thorough handoffs and adherence to protocols, ensuring quality care while providing a stable yet engaging work experience. The department operates with Cerner charting and supports a lively, dedicated team that respects your expertise and input.
