Job Description:

This contract position in the Maternity Center at a hospital in Kearney, NE, offers an engaging opportunity for surgical technologists or NCCT-certified techs to support OB procedures, including cesarean sections and vaginal deliveries. Your responsibilities will include preparing surgical setups, assisting with sterile draping, maintaining instrument counts, and supporting room turnover activities such as EVS duties and OR cleaning. While not required to hold a CNA license, you will be expected to assist with patient room cleaning and transfers for overflow and temporary cesarean cases, ensuring smooth unit operations. Shifts run 12 hours from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, including weekends and potential call, with a focus on providing high-quality surgical tech support during obstetric surgeries.
