Job Description:

Join the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital as a cardiac ICU nurse in their dedicated Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSICU). This role places you directly at the forefront of post-operative care for patients recovering from complex cardiac surgeries, including transplant and ventricular assist device procedures. You'll work in an 18-bed unit, providing specialized care with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2, ensuring close monitoring and precise interventions like vent management, ECMO, and pacemaker care. Expect to handle a range of advanced procedures such as vasoactive medication titrations and IABP support, all while contributing to the recovery of patients from high-stakes surgeries. The 12-hour day shifts are designed to give you a balanced work schedule while immersing you in a fast-paced, expert team environment where every moment counts.
