Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers an engaging opportunity for an experienced Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (MS RN) to step into a vibrant hospital setting in Evansville, Indiana. The role involves working three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours weekly. You'll be responsible for managing a diverse patient population including post-surgical cases, UTIs, sepsis, COPD, and CHF, utilizing your skills in charting EPIC systems, adminstering blood products, managing chest tubes and NG/PEG tubes, and performing straight caths and Foley placements. This position demands strong assessment capabilities, critical thinking, resilience, and adaptability, with opportunities for precepting students and new hires. The unit comprises 41 beds, supported by seasoned leadership and CNA help, making it the perfect environment to apply your expertise while experiencing the unique rhythms of a teaching hospital.
