Job Description:

Join a reputable neuro surgical unit as a travel Neuro Surgical RN in a fast-paced, bustling hospital setting. This 13-week assignment offers the opportunity to work on a dedicated neuro unit with a 12-hour day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM. You will be responsible for providing specialized care to neuro and neuro-surgical patients, including CVAs, post-op cranial surgeries, and cerebral angiograms. Expect to perform comprehensive neuro assessments, NIHSS and dysphagia screens, and manage complex medical needs such as titrating heparin infusions and blood product administration. The role emphasizes critical thinking and assessment skills, with considerable involvement in patient monitoring and care documentation using Epic. This assignment uniquely offers the chance to float within the hospital system as needed and work alongside a cohesive, experienced team proud of their leadership and resilience.
