Job Description:

This Respiratory Therapist position offers a comprehensive 13-week contract in Winnemucca, NV, working 12-hour night shifts. The role involves providing respiratory support across various settings including inpatient, outpatient, ER, and OB, with some shifts being the sole RT in house. You will perform ABGs, EKGs, PFTs, stress tests, and breathing treatments, assisting physicians with intubations as you gain experience working toward independent airway management. The setting emphasizes flexibility and autonomy, offering exposure to high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and rapid response situations. The assignment is uniquely hands-on, with opportunities to assist in cardiac and pulmonary rehab. Expect to collaborate with a team led by a Director and Lead Therapist, with department-specific orientation provided to ensure smooth integration. The role requires certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and a blood gas license for Nevada. Traveling companions of all experience levels, including first-timers, are welcome, and prior experience with pediatrics, adults, and NICU is preferred.
