Job Description:

Join our team as a critical care professional at Summit Medical Center in Nashville, TN, for a 13-week contract working in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This role involves 12-hour day shifts, where you'll manage a diverse patient population including those on bipaps, high flow oxygen, and various drips such as cardiac, insulin, and heparin. You’ll perform procedures like peritoneal dialysis, chest tube insertions, and central line dressing changes while utilizing Meditech documentation. The unit fosters a team-oriented, "care like family" environment, with a focus on effective communication and collaboration. Expect to navigate a fast-paced setting where critical thinking and advanced skills like EKG interpretation and ACLS are essential. Floating policies may require coverage on med-surg floors or adjacent units, providing a well-rounded experience beyond typical critical care responsibilities.
