Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you on the neuro-oriented orthopedic unit, where you'll work 12-hour night shifts, providing essential support during a busy and engaging schedule. You'll be involved in patients undergoing elective surgeries like hips, knees, and shoulders, as well as handling neuro cases such as fractures and spinal surgeries. Your role emphasizes in-depth experience with PCA pumps, IV fluids, and managing post-op patients in private rooms. The unit operates with a team-based approach, featuring a charge nurse available 24/7 and patient care techs assisting with vitals, ADLs, and Foley removals. Expect to float to other MedSurg units as needed, with orientation designed to familiarize you with Epic and the specific workflow. This assignment offers a chance to refine your neuro and ortho nursing skills in a supportive environment.
