Job Description:
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to work as an RN specializing in Neuro/Neurosurgery in Portland, Maine. You will be involved in caring for neurosurgical patients, including those with spinal surgeries, brain tumors, seizure disorders, VP shunts, head bleeds, traumatic injuries, and joint replacements. The shift is 12 hours overnight on a rotating schedule, featuring a 13-week duration that allows you to experience life in a vibrant coastal city. The role combines professional growth with a chance to explore Maine’s scenic surroundings, with the work providing a rewarding challenge for proactive team players who enjoy fast-paced nursing care in a specialized unit.

This role is set in a 26-bed Neuro/Trauma unit, focusing on neurosurgical, spinal, and traumatic injury patients. Float requirements and weekend shifts are part of the schedule, providing flexibility and variety during your contract period. There is no call requirement, and all clinical staff are expected to maintain a professional appearance with flexible scrub colors. Prior neuro/neurosurg experience is essential for success in this specialized setting.
