Job Description

Join a 13-week travel contract in Lima, Ohio, providing specialized post-operative open-heart care on 12-hour day shifts. This role is designed for an experienced Registered Nurse with at least two years of experience, including post-operative open-heart care and chest tube and drain management. Critical care experience is highly preferred.

You will provide pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access, interpret cardiac rhythm strips, recognize changes in cardiac rhythms, and respond appropriately. Responsibilities also include managing chest tubes and other drains, assisting with chest tube removal and pericardial pacing wire removal, managing temporary pericardial and transcutaneous pacers, and using non-invasive ventilation, high-flow oxygen, and other oxygen delivery systems. Cardiac rhythm detective work will be part of the assignment as you monitor complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Travelers must float to all units within their skill level.
