Job Description

Take your night-shift expertise to Winston-Salem as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract. This assignment focuses primarily on stroke patients, along with neurosurgery and other neurological diagnoses, including epilepsy and traumatic and non-traumatic subdural hematomas. You will provide care in a telemetry setting, start IVs, interpret and manage dysrhythmias, and apply your Med/Surg neuro experience while working with EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR.

The schedule is four 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m., with 48 hours per week and every-other-weekend coverage. Floating to other Med/Surg Tele areas may be required. Applicants should have at least two years of experience, including one year of direct Med/Surg experience, and at least two completed travel contracts. BCLS, NIH, and NIHSS are required; ACLS is preferred. An EKG test must be passed before the assignment begins.
