Compliance is hard. Keeping up with compliance is even harder.

The one constant with Joint Commission Certified Staffing Agencies are the basic minimums that are required to start. These items that you need for your file are listed below. That doesn’t mean once this is complete that your compliance journey is over. Virtually every hospital has additional compliance requirements, and during the placement process those will be sent to you. These basic minimums are your head start though. Get these in early and you’ll be well on your way to a smooth start. 

HEALTH INFO REQUIRED:

• Physical (within 12 months) – must state “fit for duty”
• 1 TB Skin Test or 1 Blood Test (within 90 days)
• Varicella Positive Titer or 2 doses of vaccinations with date/month/year
• MMR Positive Titer or 2 doses of vaccinations with date/month/year
• Hep B Vaccines Series, Positive Titer, or Signed Declination
• TDAP Vaccine (within 10 years)
• Mask Fit (done onsite) – form sent via DocuSign
• Flu Vaccine (Current Season 2021/2022)
• COVID Vaccines
• Drug Screening (within 30 days of start date).

PAPERWORK:

• Atlas Application
• Driver’s License (clear copy) – Front and back
• SSC (front and back)
• RN License (Single state (of where they live or Compact)
• BLS – Front/Back SIGNED or Online Certificate – Must be American Heart
• ACLS – Front/Back SIGNED or Online Certificate – Must be American Heart
• Any other certs associated with their assignments
• Voided Check
• Nursing Diploma or Transcripts
• All Online Facility Required Forms (Sent via Docu-sign)
• All Online Atlas Paperwork (Sent via Docu-sign
• All Online Relias Skills and Exams - 80% or Higher

I-9 COMPLETION AND VERIFICATION

You will receive an email from LawLogix to complete the I-9 Process online. Fill out the I9 online with someone next to you. The person sitting with you will be the “remote agent”. Anyone may act as a remote agent, for example a neighbor, co-worker, or friend. After you complete the first page of your I9 the person of your choice will complete the second page by looking at your Driver’s License and Social Security Card, or a Passport. There are options on what documents you can use, the driver’s license and social security card OR a passport are the most commonly used.
