Job Description:

Join a reputable short-term acute care hospital located in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a vibrant psychiatric setting focused on adult and geriatric patient populations. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive care on a locked inpatient unit during 12-hour day shifts (07:00 - 19:30), with a schedule of three shifts per week. Your role will involve medication administration, IV starts, blood glucose monitoring, and interventions tailored for patients with conditions such as dementia, depression, bipolar disorder, and Parkinson's disease. Flexibility to float within the behavioral health service lines and to other units as needed is expected. You'll be working within a hospital known for its magnet designation and Level I trauma status, offering an environment that values clinical excellence and teamwork. This assignment is unique in its focus on adults with co-morbid medical conditions requiring a med-surg approach, providing a well-rounded and impactful experience.
