Job Description:

Join us as an ICU Registered Nurse in Alton, Illinois, for an engaging travel contract working predominantly during 12-hour night shifts. This role places you in a dedicated step-down unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with stroke, cardiac conditions—including pacemaker and cardiovert cases—and a high incidence of overdoses. Your expertise will be essential in managing ventilators, initiating IVs, and monitoring telemetry, all while adhering to protocols like ACLS, NIHSS, and BCLS. Expect to handle central line placements, bronchoscopies, and PEG tube insertions, perhaps while floating to medical-surgical or intermediate care units. This assignment offers a chance to work in a smaller, specialized team with opportunities to be the first-time traveler in the ward, providing a chance to showcase your skills in a supportive environment.
