Job Description:

Join this bustling MedSurg/Telemetry unit at a Level 1 Trauma Teaching Hospital located in Macon, Georgia. As a registered nurse in this role, you'll be managing a diverse patient population with diagnoses spanning various medical and surgical conditions. Your shifts will follow a 12-hour night schedule, offering a way to experience the lively atmosphere of this busy unit during the overnight hours. With a focus on chest pain, stroke, and trauma care, you'll have the opportunity to handle complex cases, including chest tube management, trach care, and cardiac drips like insulin and heparin, across a team-oriented environment. The facility supports your success with resources like a resource nurse team, 24/7 RT, hospitalists, and advanced equipment including EPIC EMR, Phillips monitors, and Alaris pumps. This assignment offers a unique chance to strengthen your skills in a critical care setting while floating across multiple MedSurg/Telemetry units as needed.
