Job Description:

Join a well-established acute care hospital in Springfield as an Orthopedic Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract. You will primarily work night shifts (12-hour nights from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM) on a 38-bed unit specializing in orthopedic care. This assignment offers the opportunity to float within scope to other medical-surgical departments as needed, providing variety and experience across different patient populations. The role requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience, with certifications in BLS—ACLS is preferred. Telemetry experience, IV therapy, and phlebotomy skills, including PICC line management, will be highly valued. Expect to manage IVs, start IV lines, and work with Cerner charting systems. Local travelers are welcome, and candidates must hold an active Illinois license prior to start. The facility operates in a Magnet-enabled hospital environment with a Level I trauma designation, offering a collaborative and professional setting for nurses seeking to expand their skills and impact.
