Job Description:

Join a rural Critical Access Hospital as an experienced OB RN and Med/Surg nurse for a 13-week contract in West Union, IA. This role offers the opportunity to float between Labor & Delivery, Post-partum, and Medical-Surgical units within a 25-bed facility. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, supporting low-risk OB patients with 1:1 active labor coverage and managing Med/Surg patients with ratios up to 1:3-4. The staff nurses are resilient, assertive, and eager to train and mentor less experienced team members. This position is perfect for a self-reliant professional comfortable working independently and in charge nurse capacity when needed. Certified in IA RN, BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring, you bring at least 2 years of relevant experience, including in rural, critical access settings. The hospital provides OB scrubs, and some flexibility in blocked scheduling may be attempted to suit your preferences. This role guarantees 36 hours weekly, with additional hours during unit open times, excluding holidays. You may be on call in low census periods, with callbacks only in emergencies.
