Job Description:

This opportunity involves providing skilled Med/Surg nursing support at a busy hospital in Evansville, Indiana, specifically on a cardiac and neuro-focused unit. You'll focus on post-surgical care, cardiac assessments, and neuro evaluations, including neuro assessments and dysphagia screens. The shift is a 12-hour day schedule, from early morning to late afternoon, offering a full 36 hours guaranteed each week, with options to accept additional hours. You’ll work alongside a welcoming team that values expertise and collaboration, often engaging in patient assessments, monitoring drips like Heparin and Insulin, managing drains, and performing procedures such as NG tube insertions. This assignment provides a chance to sharpen your critical thinking skills and stay engaged with a variety of complex cases in a supportive environment.
