Job Description:

Join a reputable acute care facility in Springfield as a Medical Surgical RN on a 13-week contract. This role offers an engaging opportunity to work 12-hour day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15, with a patient load that may occasionally require managing up to a 1:7 ratio. You will be responsible for PICC line management and starting IVs, with opportunities to learn and take on trach and laryngectomy patients. Float within scope to meet the hospital’s needs, and participate in rotating weekends, ensuring a well-rounded experience. Active Illinois licensure and a minimum of two years of experience are required. Certifications like BLS are essential, and familiarity with Cerner charting is preferred. This position emphasizes skill development and adaptability in a dynamic hospital setting, making it a rewarding challenge for those looking to expand their clinical expertise.
