Job Description:

As a staff Registered Nurse (RN) on this contract, you will take on a central role in preparing the Operating Room (OR) for surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include ensuring the OR suite is stocked with supplies and equipment, verifying patient identity through double checks, safely transporting patients to and from the OR, and supporting the surgical team throughout procedures by responding promptly to their needs. You'll also be involved in accurately documenting care, positioning patients safely with proper supports, and handing off patients smoothly to recovery teams. This assignment offers the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in perioperative practices and experience the fast-paced environment of surgical care, all while maintaining a focus on safety and teamwork.

Job Specifics:

Location: Urbana, Illinois
Shift: 10-hour days, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 13 weeks with a weekly commitment of 40 hours
