Job Description:

Join a thriving hospital in Rockford for a Labor & Delivery RN contract that offers you a chance to work in a well-equipped maternity unit with 14 labor rooms, 3 triage/overnight observation rooms, 2 operating rooms, and 3 postpartum care units. This role involves providing specialized nursing care during labor, delivery, and postpartum stages, with an occasional operation in the OBED off the unit. The schedule features 12-hour night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., including every other weekend and holiday work. Expect to manage approximately 230 deliveries a month, gaining a rewarding experience supporting childbirth amidst a friendly team. Your expertise will help ensure positive outcomes for mothers and babies alike as you navigate a busy yet supportive environment that's just lively enough to keep you engaged but not overwhelmed.
