Job Description:

Step into the role of a Medical Surgical LVN / LPN or RN in a specialized overflow unit designed to handle inpatient overflow from the Emergency Department. This unit operates within a flexible space inside the GI Endoscopy area, supporting a fluctuating patient census based on demand. RNs must have mandatory competencies in phlebotomy and IV placement, skills essential for this assignment. LPNs may not assume the full scope of med/surg duties but will contribute where needed. Your daily tasks will include managing a range of procedures like blood glucose testing, feeding tube care, Foley catheter insertions, medication administration, and patient ambulation. The shift is a 12-hour day schedule, offering a consistent pace over three days each week, allowing for a focused and engaging work experience. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, high-demand environment while honing your med/surg skill set in a supportive setting.
