Job Description:

Join a dedicated ICU team at a teaching hospital located in Lexington, NC, as a travel RN specializing in intensive care. In this role, you'll manage critical patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke, often caring for up to two patients via 12-hour night shifts. You'll utilize your expertise in art line management, vasoactive medication titration, vent management and weaning with RT support, and chest tube care. The facility values experienced nurses who can support the eager, newly graduated staff on the unit, helping them build confidence in a fast-paced environment. Alongside charge nurses, resource nurses, and 24/7 RT and hospitalist coverage, you will provide essential nursing care while supporting a team that emphasizes learning and collaboration. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to develop your critical thinking skills in a well-equipped environment with EMR systems like EPIC and advanced patient monitoring technologies.
