Job Description:

Join our team as an ICU registered nurse at a 96-bed teaching hospital in Lexington, NC. This role involves caring for critically ill patients with diagnoses such as ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke, primarily in a Medical ICU setting. You will be responsible for managing art lines, titrating vasoactive medications, ventilator management and weaning with RT support, and chest tube care. The schedule features 12-hour day shifts, with a commitment of approximately 36 hours per week over a 13-week contract. This assignment offers a great opportunity for nurses with at least 2 years of ICU experience, including first-time travelers with strong backgrounds. Expect to work on a unit supported by a dedicated charge nurse, resource nurse, and RTs available 24/7, along with a hospitalist team. The environment is filled with eager new grads, making your expertise invaluable to help them gain confidence.
