Job Description:

Join this 13-week travel contract as an Observation MS RN at Deaconess Gateway, where you'll work 12-hour day shifts within a supportive team environment. This role involves managing a caseload of patients with conditions such as chest pain, abdominal pain, CVA/TIA, and general weakness. You'll be responsible for performing PIV insertions, managing stable drips like heparin, lasix, and protonix, and utilizing your assessment and critical thinking skills daily. The setting is a 32-bed unit with excellent support staff, including talented LPNs and CNAs. Flexibility to float within skillsets is required, with cross-campus opportunities at Deaconess Midtown and Henderson, Indiana/Kentucky campuses. You'll be part of a teaching hospital that may require precepting students or new hires, adding an enriching teaching element to your role. With a focus on professionalism and teamwork, this assignment offers an engaging experience for seasoned Med/Surg nurses looking to expand their horizons.
