Job Description:

Join this engaging travel opportunity within a pediatric behavioral health unit that treats adolescents aged 14-18 facing complex mental health challenges. As a registered nurse, you'll be working in a 23-bed unit with an average of 18-21 patients daily. Your role involves managing patients with diagnoses such as bipolar disorder, psychosis, and suicidal behaviors, often requiring physical de-escalation techniques and IM injections. The work demands patience and compassion, especially when supporting patients through their toughest moments, including managing aggressive behaviors and frequent peer altercations. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts over 13 weeks, with a team that values safety and teamwork, including support from leadership and specialized response resources.
