Job Description:

Join a fast-paced Medical/Surgical unit focused on caring for general medical and surgical patients. You'll perform initial admissions, manage patients awaiting transfer from the ER, and work with equipment such as Epic, Zebra phones, Omnicell medication systems, and Aleris IV pumps. This role requires a minimum of two years' experience in a Level 1 trauma center and must include Epic and BLS - AHA certifications. The 15-bed unit features private rooms, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 during the day and 6:1 at night. You'll float between units as needed, providing flexible support in this newly established department. The schedule includes 12-hour rotating shifts, with every other weekend and holiday off, and no on-call duties. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to work within a newly opened unit that offers a demanding but rewarding environment for experienced medical/surgical nurses.
