Job Description:

This hospital-based medical-surgical RN position involves working night shifts on a 21-bed unit that cares for a diverse patient population, including post-operative orthopedic cases, respiratory issues, pediatrics, and occasional urology or gunshot wound patients. The role requires managing common titratable drips such as Cardizem, insulin, and heparin, along with monitoring telemetry with Mindray systems. The RN will set up and interpret cardiac strips, float to MedSurg or Tele units as needed, and sometimes assist with Bi-Pap setups. Expect to work every other weekend over a 13-week assignment, with self-scheduling options and block scheduling possibilities. The environment offers an engaging mix of patient cases, with opportunities to develop or showcase skills in cardiac rhythm recognition and respiratory management. Experience in ICU or telemetry units is beneficial but not mandatory if the candidate demonstrates strong clinical skills.
