Job Description:

Join a cardiac stepdown unit in Albany, GA, for a 17-week contract working 12-hour night shifts. This role focuses on caring for patients recovering from cardiovascular surgeries and managing complex cardiac cases like CHF, arrhythmias, and post-operative occlusions. You'll be engaged in interpreting telemetry strips, titrating drips such as Cardizem and amiodarone, and providing dedicated nursing support in a high-volume environment with an average census of 32-38 patients. Be prepared to float to the ICU when needed, though you will primarily focus on stepdown patients. The unit operates with a robust team, including charge nurses and in-house hospitalists 24/7, ensuring comprehensive support for all staff. This assignment offers a chance to deepen your expertise in cardiovascular nursing while working in a fast-paced, specialized setting that values your skills and professionalism.
