Job Description:

Join a seasoned ICU team in Rapid City, South Dakota, for a 13-week travel assignment that immerses you in complex critical care. Your days will involve managing a diverse mix of surgical, medical, cardiac, neuro, and trauma patients, many with heavy trauma involvement and advanced diagnoses like ARDS, MI, CVA/TIA, COVID, and post-surgical recovery. With a mix of MICU, SICU, CICU, and TICU units divided into pods, you'll navigate a fast-paced environment where critical thinking, teamwork, and proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic lines, vasopressors, and proning are essential. The role emphasizes collaborative care supported by experienced staff, with opportunities to precept students and further hone your ICU expertise. Expect to work a consistent 12-hour night shift, providing high-acuity patient care, with the flexibility to float to other adult units as needed, respecting your comfort level. This assignment offers a unique chance to broaden your ICU skills while experiencing a vibrant city setting.
