Job Description:

This NICU Registered Nurse contract offers an engaging opportunity to work in a Level III-IV neonatal intensive care setting at a busy hospital serving Southern Arizona. The role involves 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a three-day work week totaling 36 hours per week over a 13-week duration. Your responsibilities will include caring for vital high-risk newborns, often float to PEDS or PICU, and manage a patient ratio of 1:3 when in the NICU. You'll be part of a team supporting neonatal transport and performing assessments, vitals, and labs on well newborns in supportive units. Expect a lively environment with a focus on complex neonatal care and occasional floating duties, all within a hospital that sees high neonatal volume, especially during July through December. No first-time travelers or locals within 75 miles are eligible. BLS, NRP, and EPIC experience are required, along with at least two years of NICU RN experience and Level III-IV NICU background. Orientation is held twice monthly, with upcoming sessions on 6/8 and 6/22. This contract offers a chance to develop your neonatal expertise while working in a fast-paced and rewarding setting. When not in the NICU, nurses may support well newborn assessments and labs, contributing to a comprehensive neonatal care experience.
