Job Description:

This assignment calls for a skilled Neuro ICU nurse prepared to handle high-acuity patients in a 24-bed neuroscience unit. You'll be floating between NSICU and SICU, utilizing skills such as NIHSS, lumbar access, ventriculostomy, ICP management, arterial and central lines, cranial drains, and mechanical ventilation. Managing medications like vasopressors, sedatives, and pain control, as well as temperature protocols and CRRT, are key aspects of this role. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week period, providing critical care to stroke, post-surgical, and neurologically complex patients. The pace is intense but rewarding for those passionate about neuro-critical care in a tertiary setting, where your expertise ensures patients receive the highest level of monitoring and intervention.
