Job Description:

Join the team as an RN in the Operating Room at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME, for a 26-week contract. This position offers opportunities to work on complex procedures such as sinus surgeries, facial plastics, trauma, and head and neck cancer surgeries, with patient ages ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics. You will be responsible for assisting during surgeries, ensuring sterile protocols are maintained, and supporting the surgical team throughout the day. Expect scheduled shifts of 12 hours, typically from 7am-730pm or 7am-5pm, with occasional weekends or call. This role provides a weekly guaranteed commitment of 36 hours, with opportunities to experience a variety of surgical cases in a fast-paced environment that values flexibility and teamwork. The position requires at least 2 years of experience, valid BLS certification, and familiarity with EPIC EMR.
