Job Description:

Join our team as a travel nurse in a fast-paced, 36-bed Med Surg Intermediate Care unit located in Wausau, Wisconsin. This 13-week assignment involves night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, offering a unique opportunity to experience the city’s lively evenings and serene nights. The role focuses on managing a diverse patient load, including ventilator and trach care, trauma cases, and post-surgical patients, with a patient ratio of 4:1. Travelers will need to be resilient, quick to adapt, and comfortable working independently in a high-acuity setting that often involves heavy telemetry and complex cases. The unit values experienced professionals with ICU background, vent/trach experience, and previous travel work. Expect a challenging yet rewarding environment where your expertise makes a real difference.
